EURO RSCG BISS LANCASTER IS RAMPING UP ITS DIGITAL MARKETING OFFERING BY HIRING BILL HUNT AS DIGITAL & CREATIVE DIRECTOR.
Hunt’s appointment marks the agency’s commitment to boosting digital business growth as well as integrating digital marketing activity with their existing corporate and consumer clients.
Reporting to MD Holly Ward, Hunt will lead a team tasked with coming with innovative ideas to reach audiences using a combination of digital, ambient and traditional media.
Beginning his role in the New Year, Hunt will be responsible for integrating online PR strategies into new business development, as well as working with account teams to identify opportunities for digital PR across the agency’s client portfolio.
A long-term PR freelancer and web designer, Hunt moves to Biss Lancaster following a spell at Brando working on campaign planning for Sony Ericsson in the CEEMEA region. Prior to this role, Hunt was an Associate Director in Cohn & Wolfe Digital and Technology team, where he was responsible for heading up the agency’s online PR specialism, and working for clients including Deutsche Grammophon, teen social network Piczo, and web discovery site Streakr.com.
This is Hunt’s second time working for Biss Lancaster, which he joined first time round as an account manager back in 1995, working on clients including Trebor Bassett and Raymond Weil watches.
Bill Hunt brings 14 years PR experience to the role, with an agency background including Hill & Knowlton, Village PR and Porter Novelli. During his time freelancing, Hunt has also acted as a creative consultant for agencies including The JJ Group and Starfish Communications, and clients including Brita Water Filters, TK Maxx and the Photo Imaging Council.
Biss Lancaster MD Holly Ward said: “We were keen to recruit someone with digital expertise who also has a solid background in traditional PR. Bill’s previous work demonstrates that he’s adept at exploiting new channels and techniques such as social media marketing, and integrating digital communications into the wider marketing mix.”
Speaking about his appointment, Bill Hunt said: “I’m really excited to be joining Biss Lancaster. For someone who’s obsessed with the online world and enjoys coming up with ideas, it’s a job made in heaven! |
